Why Was Grandma So Mean? Monday, March 2, at 7:00 p.m. CDT.
Why Was Grandma So Mean? explores how generational trauma shapes family behavior, perspective, patterns, and emotional inheritance. Through genealogy records, historical context, and lived experience, this program helps you understand the why behind difficult ancestors—without blame or excuses. Learn to recognize inherited trauma, spot patterns in family history, and see how the past may still be influencing your life today. Sometimes healing begins with understanding what was carried forward.

Where POW Records Actually Live
We’ll explore key record sets at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), including casualty files, POW data cards, and unit-level documentation. We will also examine websites with POW records and puzzle pieces. We will look at both the European Theater (German Camps) and the Pacific Theater (Japanese Camps).

For POWs who died in captivity — what’s inside, how to request it, and how to interpret it.
The Soul Came Home Wounded. Saturday, March 14 at 10:00 a.m. CST
In The Soul Came Home Wounded, We Will Explore:
- How war trauma imprints on the soul, nervous system, and family system.
- The ways unprocessed combat trauma shows up as addiction, rage, emotional withdrawal, or disappearance, and repeats through the generations.
- How silence becomes a survival strategy—and a generational wound.
- What military records and genealogy documents can reveal about trauma timelines.
- How ancestral patterns repeat when wounds remain unacknowledged. Jennifer will share this through her own family story.
- Gentle, grounded ways to begin releasing what was never yours to carry.
This work bridges genealogy, military history, ancestral healing, and spiritual understanding, offering context where families were given none.
