Finding the Answers: Starting WWII Research is a great course to begin to learn about World War II research. Your homeschooling student will begin by learning all about the resources available to them. They will be given a link to the WWII Education Facebook page and this will provide your student with more information that will help them learn more about the process of researching a serviceman’s timeline of service.
Your student will learn what information they need to access your service member’s records. This course is a great addition to your 7th thru 12th graders transcript. This course will fulfill a History requirement, elective or even an English requirement as there is a lot of reading you can do alongside the course and they can also begin to write their service member’s story. There are also supplemental books available that will enhance your student’s learning.
Throughout this course your student will learn about what records are available to them online, at the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, Missouri and what records they may be surprised to realize are in their own home or at their relative’s house. All of this information will help your student dig deeper into their past, their families past and will help them get excited to learn more.
Finding the Answers: Starting WWII Research is the perfect class to start your student on a road to learning about WWII. They can continue learning with the course, Finding the Answers: WWII Research Online. This course will continue your student’s learning about how to find their service member’s service record by searching online resources. There will be tips and resources and techniques learned that will only enhance their understanding of the war and how to find the records. Each course fulfills History, elective and or English requirements.
Your student will become engaged in a way they weren’t before to our history. World War I and the Korean War are researched the same way so if your family member was in those wars these courses are equally useful. Take advantage of the homeschooling online courses offered by the World War II Research and Writing Center. Not only will your student learn about history they will become a detective digging for information and searching for answers all while learning the entire time. As a former homeschooling mom, I can attest to the educational benefits of all of the courses. This course is a great place for your student to start their search for finding the answers.
